What is Christmas Bureau?

It is an incredible annual holiday assistance program coordinated by Catholic Charities Spokane, Volunteers of America, and The Spokesman-Review.  This amazing program - made possible with generous monetary funds and many volunteer hours donated by community members and organizations -  provides toys, books, and grocery store vouchers for thousands of low income individuals and families.

The Christmas Bureau is held each year in mid-December at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center. 2016 dates will be announced soon.

2015 Christmas Bureau Stats

  • 8,142 families were served, each receiving a grocery store gift certificate
  • 14,683 children 17 and under received a new toy
  • 13,056 children 14 and under also received a new book
  • 27,410 individuals received assistance
