Volunteer Opportunty:  “Spring Yard Clean Up!”

Saturday, April 24, 2010

8:30 a.m. – Noon

Here’s a great way to celebrate Earth Day with family and friends!  Sign up to work as an individual, a family, or a group (church, school, business, etc.) to rake, weed, and do general yard clean up for low-income seniors and low-income disabled adults in Spokane County.    Everyone will meet at O’Malley Hall at St. Aloysius Church, 330 E. Boone, at 8:30 a.m. for coffee, pastries and instructions.  Then we will send you out into the community to help qualified clients of Volunteer Chore Services.

To register for this event, please call Cyndie (509) 459-6173 or Judy (509) 459-6172, or email Cyndie at
clapke@ccspokane.org

The picture of spring-time and green lawns is a pleasant reminder that spring will indeed come again. In the meantime, we are shoveling mountains of snow! Here are a few helpful hints as to Volunteer Chore Srevices' policies concerning snow removal.
